Diagonal multiway pedestrian crossing
Reported via mobile in the Kerbs category anonymously at 14:43, Wednesday 15 April 2026
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 12269.
The multiway crossing in the highstreet, the diagonal crossing does not have a drop curb either side for wheelchair/scooter/ disabled users. Why not? Will this be installed? If so, when? Why was it not added when the crossings were amended.
My dad has an electric scooter, and when using the diagonal crossing, he has to ride in the road partly to get to the drop curb, as there isn't one either side, or he would have to cross twice, in separate places, which just seems silly. What will be done about this? Please sort asap
