On the Moulsoe Road after the Nissan road about on the bend.
Reported via desktop in the Road Potholes category anonymously at 20:36, Saturday 25 April 2026
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 12764.
Although the pothole is marked it is unavoidable when driving, from the images you will see this is extremely dangerous to drivers and cyclists and emergency service who use this road.
The hole is deep enough to have damaged the insides of my run flat tyre causing the tyre to bulge dangerous and need replacement.
This pothole was first reported and inspected in January 2026 according to you website and apparently monitored regularly. However it has been allowed to deteriorate to an acceptable and dangerous condition where it has caused damage to my vehicle. This should have been repaired in under 4 months as it’s on a major road through Cranfield.
As such I would like to be reimbursed for my loss as I have had to replace my tyre.

You can see from the still image I was unable to avoid the pothole, and if you check the bottom left corner the video frame is date and time stamped with my speed as well, showing I was well under the 50mph speed limit for this road.
Attached is an additional image of the damage caused to my alloy wheel which I have been advised will cost a further £125 to be refurbished.
