Stratton School roundabout

Reported via mobile in the Fallen branches (over 25mm diameter) category anonymously at 19:08, Wednesday 6 May 2026

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 13189.

Today at 13:30 someone has cut down the trees along the road side of our fence, not trimmed, but cut to the ground. These were the only trees giving us some shade and providing privacy on that stretch of the fence. Our neighbour opposite cut three large trees, exposing us to the sun and onlookers, with these trees going today the last bit of greenery we had is gone. Trees were left cut on the side of the road. Was it CBC cutting them? How do I ensure that nothing else along my fence line gets cut?

Updates

  • These trees are owned by the School.

  • Update on your report:

After inspecting the reported issue, our officers have determined that this doesn't currently qualify as a priority for repair.

With over 1,400km of road to maintain across Central Bedfordshire, we have to prioritise the work we do as detailed in our Network Maintenance Management Plan (NMMP), which can be viewed on the following page of our website https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ info/ 55/ transport_roads_and_parking/ 592/ roads_strategies

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council - Highways
