Investigating
Path that runs between Marston Fields Development and A421
Reported via mobile in the Public Rights of way category anonymously at 18:28, Monday 8 June 2026
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14598.
The path is getting very overgrown. I’d estimate that between hedges, at the worst point, is only 45cm. Two people cannot pass each other. Very tricky with a pushchair and a dog. If left for a few more weeks the path will be unusable.

This public right of way is on our annual public rights of way grass cutting contract but we can only currently afford 2 cuts per year - the contractor is going around the authority area currently doing the 1st cut and this should be completed by the end of June. The second cut will take place in September/October. Please note that hedges alongside public rights of way would be the landowner's responsibility to cut back in the autumn/winter months rather than the Council's responsibility. We are in contact with the landowner.
