High Street between ‘Brook House’ and the village Hall

Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 10:30, Thursday 11 June 2026

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 14772.

The footpath between ‘Brook House’ and the village hall is massively overgrown causing this section of path to be too narrow to enable a parent to be able to walk beside their child resulting in the parent having to walk in the road when walking to and from school. Given that the children walk once a week to the village church for a service the overgrown bushes are putting the children very close to the edge of the road. Of late this has gotten even worse. I have a younger children in a pram and during our walk to school I was not able to push the pram along the path without it brushing against the overgrown bushes. The bushes need a significant trim back to the edge of the path to enable children to be able to safely walk to and from school. Please see attached photo; The first shows you how wide the footpath should be, with the second showing how narrow it has become due to the overgrown bush.
