Grass area next to 40 kings road broom
Reported via Android in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 16:17, Friday 26 June 2026
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 15469.
This grass area in increasingly being used by teenagers going over to broom lake. It is right next to my bedroom window and they come back all hours of the night and are very noisy and disrespectful if you say anything. I lost my husband last year and feel very vulnerable now I'm on my own. Please can a no parking sign or some form of parking restrictions be put in place here. Thank you

Thank you for contacting us with information relating to a Highways issue. We operate a holistic response to parking restriction requests, due to the need for a Traffic Regulation Order (which is a legal document) to implement new or revised restrictions. Please refer to the website and read our parking strategy before continuing further. Should you wish to proceed please demonstrate support from other residents and the ward councillor when requesting these restrictions by completing and submitting the application. Your application will then be reviewed, prioritised accordingly or included in a wider traffic management scheme for the area. http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ request/ parking-restriction.aspx

Why is this a highways issue? It is simply a strip of grass that goes down the side of my house and leads nowhere except the farmers field. The placing of a parking restriction will make no difference other than reassuring the residents of Kings Road, myself in particular Thank you

I have asked for your help with this increasingly worrying problem. I have had more people being very threatening towards me when I ask them not to park on the grass next to my bedroom window. I feel unsafe in my own home. Your last reply included a link, this does not work! Please advice a solution to this. Being recently widowed I ask for your understanding that this is an urgent matter. Thank you
