On the bend as you come around the corner

Reported via desktop in the Vegetation obstructing visibility, footway, road, or sign category anonymously at 16:27, Monday 17 August 2026

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 17473.

The trees from the private house are hanging over the road meaning you have to cross the centre line into oncoming traffic, twice this month i have seen near missed here, its dangerous especially as the route is well used for cyclists

Updates

  • Update on report: This vegetation is privately owned/maintained. Central Bedfordshire Council Highways will issue a letter to the landowner to request that the obstructing vegetation is cut back. If no action, CBC will raise an order to undertake the work, and seek to recharge the responsible landowner. Many thanks, Central Bedfordshire Council - Highways
